Phones banned inside major Tamil Nadu temples

From 1 September, phones are banned inside major Tamil Nadu temples. Photos, videos, selfies and reels are not allowed. Phones must be left at security desks at the gate. Storing one phone costs ₹5. The move is meant to protect the sanctity of the temples.
