₹5.54 crore tender for the new CM office
PWD has invited first-phase tenders for works at Namakkal Kavignar Maligai.
The Chief Minister’s office, based at Fort St. George for over 50 years, is being shifted to the 10th floor of Namakkal Kavignar Maligai for administrative convenience. The Public Works Department has invited tenders worth ₹5.54 crore for the first phase, covering a new CM chamber, private secretaries’ offices and a modern conference hall. The works are split into three blocks of ₹2.41 crore, ₹2.01 crore and ₹1.12 crore, and must be finished within three months of the contract being finalised.
