Full crop-loan waiver up to ₹75,000
Cooperative-bank loans; ₹35,000 waiver above the ceiling.
CM Vijay has announced a full waiver of crop loans up to ₹75,000 from cooperative banks. Farmers who borrowed more than that get a ₹35,000 waiver. About 14.43 lakh farmers who took loans between 1 May 2025 and 28 February 2026 will benefit, at a cost of about ₹5,932.23 crore. The full-waiver ceiling was raised from ₹50,000 after farmer demands.
