Property tax revision put on hold

Greater Chennai Corporation had revised assessments for some properties found to be under-assessed. After reviewing public objections, it has suspended the revision with immediate effect. Tax will revert to the amount in force before the revision. Those who already paid the revised amount will have it adjusted against tax for coming half-years.
