Public questions ministers after student killing

In Thiruvarur, people confronted ministers after Plus Two student Dhanush was beaten to death. A mob is said to have attacked near Ajax bus stand on the evening of August 14. His family says he was stabbed after objecting to cannabis smoking. Twelve youths were arrested; the family appeared before a magistrate rather than remaining only at the police station.
