Former AIADMK minister C. Vijayabaskar is accused of taking money to arrange a party ticket in Alangudi. The petitioner says he paid ₹4.50 crore, got only ₹50 lakh back, and was threatened when he asked for the remaining ₹4 crore. Police told the High Court a preliminary inquiry has begun; a status report is due by September 15.
