Periyakulam TVK MLA Sabari Aingaran has been accused of shooting drone reels near the Mullaperiyar dam. The dam sits in the Periyar Tiger Reserve area, where drone use is restricted. Footage was reportedly filmed during the Aug 8 water-release event; Kerala Forest Department has complained of unauthorised drone use. Tamil Nadu’s Water Resources Department is also said to be inquiring into the matter.
